Abstract

Protecting the environment has become an obligation for the community in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. In the other hand, the low level of community awareness in protecting the environment is still a problem that must be overcome. In order to increase environmental awareness from an early age, it is necessary to develop learning media. Smart Backgammon is one of the environmental literacy-based learning media that can be used. In order to ensure the feasibility of the media, a media response test was carried out. The type of research used is research and development with a 4D development model. This research was conducted at SDN 18 Air Tawar Timur and SDN 25 Air Tawar Timur. The research subjects were teachers and 20 students. Data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative. The results of the student response test research are in the good category with an average of 82.79%, while the results of the teacher response test research are in the very good category with an average response value of 91.31%. This means that this media is suitable for use in learning to improve understanding of protecting the environment.
